'If you are looking for a trainer to get your office up to speed on using your company gym I highly recommend Kerry Marshall.

She was able to make everyone in our office, ranging in age from early 20's to mid-50's, and of varying fitness levels, feel comfortable using the gym equipment.

She didn't just put together a 'one-size-fits all' circuit but took the time to have different routines for our different fitness levels and goals.

Having had Kerry as a personal trainer in the past I already knew what a great trainer she is now the rest of the office knows too.'

"I started the 16 week nutrition program (along with training sessions once a week) with Kerry and soon after found out that I had hypothyroidism - a condition which makes it harder to lose weight. I was discouraged by this news, but Kerry convinced me that I still could lose weight. She did a great job of monitoring my nutrition and making the necessary changes so that I could be successful at reaching my goal. After 16 weeks, I lost 29.75 inches and close to 30 lbs. Kerry is a great trainer and nutrition coach!"

Chris Briggs: Inches Lost 9.5; Total Body Fat Lost 7.2% - While working with Kerry for both my nutrition and exercise routine I have undergone significant changes. Before Kerry's instruction and guidance with my nutrition I had no idea what I was doing.

I knew that some foods were healthier for me than others and I ate what I thought was a good diet. I was eating way too much fat and salt.

My protein to carbohydrates ratio was way out - which made my strength and energy limited at best. I couldn't achieve a good workout in this state and it showed.

That's when I went to Kerry. She put me on a proper nutrition program, that was right for my goals, showed me how train with good form and set me on a path to change. One year later I'm still using the knowledge I learnt about nutrition and still using training principles taught to me by Kerry to improve my quality of life. I've even been approached to become a male exotic dancer. So take the first step and go see Kerry and your life will change too!

We are two “mature” folks near the “three-score-and-ten” mark in our lives.  However, we sure don’t feel like seventy ~ not since we started training with Kerry eighteen months ago. Her program has made us feel young again.

We were never what you could remotely describe as “athletes,” but since September, 2009, as examples, we have completed a three-day trek over the Italian Cinque Terra trail with a group much younger than we are; and we have hiked the Waihee Ridge Trail in the West Maui Mountains, during which time we kept pace with the 45-year-old in our group.

Our fellow hikers described us as “inspirational.”  Kerry’s motivation and expertise have helped us take years off our age and weight off our bodies, and added more cheer, in fact, near-euphoria, to our outlook and attitude toward life. Thank you, Kerry!  You have given us a priceless gift.

Fitness is a very important part of my life. I have always been in shape and worked out, but never really thought I would have the courage to actually compete in a fitness/bodybuilding competition. It is one thing to work out and keep in shape and look good in your jeans, etc, but it is very different to be standing on a stage in front of almost 1000 people in almost next to nothing!! This was my thinking when I had my first consultation with Kerry. I wanted to be able to compete, but did I have the courage to do it? Did I really have what it takes? Well, Kerry told me I did. If I followed what she told me and was dedicated to my workouts and diet, I definitely could do this. The first thing that impressed me most about Kerry was the fact that she believed in me even more than I believed in myself. She gave me the knowledge and encouragement to believe in myself. She took me seriously and listened to me and understood what I wanted to do and how I wanted to change my body. Kerry has years of knowledge and experience when it comes to fitness and nutrition.

She developed a fitness program just for me and my body. She also developed a diet that would work for me. I spent many years trying to get certain results, but to no avail, didn't get just what I wanted. I understand now just how important diet is when it comes to bodybuilding, and how it can make all the difference in the results you get. I listened to Kerry and followed whatever she told me. I trusted her to get me to where I wanted to be. Even on the days when I felt like giving up, just knowing that she believed in me kept me going. The 16 weeks of training was a time of personal growth and many changes. I always appreciated all the support Kerry gave me. She knows what it takes to compete and how much of a sacrifice you make when you are training. She also understands the impact the training has on your family and was always there to listen to me when I felt tired or stressed. Kerry also kept encouraging me and telling me just how proud she was of me and this helped me to keep working out and follow the diet.

I am so grateful that I made the decision to hire Kerry as my personal trainer. I never really believed I would be standing on a stage, competing in a fitness competition, but I did do it. The day of the competition was everything Kerry told me it would be. I enjoyed every minut of it. I fit in and felt great about myself.

I believe the best thing I got out of this experience was knowledge in how to work out for my body and how to eat clean. I learned what it takes to compete, and that I can do it. I am so glad that I have had this experience. Kerry has helped me to believe in myself and she encouraged me to reach my dream of being able to get up on stage in front of everyone and compete.

Thank you so much Kerry for all you did for me. This is a lifetime experience that I will never forget. I am still using all the tips you gave me and keep up with my workouts. I now have a much better understanding of fitness and nutrition and will always be grateful for all you did for me.

My interest in bodybuilding and lifting weights started when I was young. I have lifted weights on and off most of my life but never got the results I was really looking for. I had always wanted to compete in bodybuilding and had been told many times that I had the build for it. I have hired numerous personal trainers and tried endless diets but never found the combination I was looking for.

I have had more than my share of stress and trauma in my personal life over the past few years. I never seemed to have time to exercise regularly and had always found a friend in food. The sudden death of my 13 year old daughter in the fall of 2007 and then the failure of a long term relationship right after made me feel like life was too short to start living it tomorrow.

I, like many people, am a single parent to teenagers who are a bit more challenging than average and work long hours in a high pressure job. I decided that I wanted my life back. My plans got sidetracked by a major back injury which lead to back surgery in 2009. After surgery I reached my highest weight ever, 239.6lbs and was in the worst shape of my life. I needed medical clearance to even start exercising due to my injury.

In august 2009 I started trying to eat better and lost a few pounds. I was going to physiotherapy and was seeing some results in terms of recovering from the surgery. I was able to obtain permission from my doctor to start exercising again in Sept 2009 and started using an elliptical machine. I was only able to do about 5 minutes on the easiest setting and was winded and in pain. I still wanted to get control of my life back.

I found out about Kerry during a work training day when another of Kerry’s clients made a presentation for my office. I was instantly drawn to the fact that Kerry could combine the diet and exercise, something I had never found before. I also liked the fact that she had competed before so she knew what was necessary to get there. I took Kerry’s card and called her. I was determined not to stay overweight and in pain any longer. The idea that I had found someone who would be able to get me to competition was exciting as well.

I signed up for the 16 week nutritional monitoring and personal training. Kerry was great to work with right from the start. She designed my program around my injury and worked with my physio and massage therapists to make sure I was continually getting better. I started the eating plan and actually found it hard to eat everything I was supposed to, there was so much food. The weight started falling off and with it, exercise became easier and my back pain got better. Kerry has been totally supportive and helped push me along the way. Making small changes to my diet to keep my body burning fat along the way and reminding me that I am making a life long change and that it takes time.

So far I have lost a total of 70lbs since August 2009 and 60lbs of it with Kerry’s help and guidance. I am still dealing with permanent back issues and pain but with that exception, I have never been in better shape in my whole life. I went from barely being able to do 5 minutes on an elliptical to being able to run for a half hour seven days a week. I feel like something is missing in my day if I don’t go to the gym. I have run into a few more issues in my personal life and have taken a break from the nutritional monitoring for now but still managed to lose weight and keep it off. I feel better than I have for years. I am not finished my journey and still want to make it to competition at some point but am finally happy with myself. I no longer feel like food or physical injury can dictate the terms of my life. I am looking forward to the rest of the journey with Kerry.

Thanks Kerry for helping me get through my first figure competition. What an experience! I’ve learned so much from you. I have always been into fitness, ran many marathons and half marathons but have never done a fitness/figure/bodybuilding competition. When I first started training with you I had a hard time decreasing my cardio time and intensity.

Over time, I got used to it and loved only training 30 minutes of cardio a day, rather than an hour or more a day. The best part of this was I still got results! You had always said to me “TRUST ME!”  I did, and I got results! I’ve also learned how crucial diet is with training for a show or any other time.

Thank you! I couldn't have done it without your support and knowledge! You were always there for me when I had questions or a weak moment or moments!!

Jennie Johnson

I ran into Kerry Marshall out and about and couldn’t get over how ripped she was. I have been a gym member for years and had yet to experience that level of physique regardless of my training regime.
Kerry was able to show me what a crucial role nutrition played with taking your body to a whole new level.

I can’t thank Kerry enough for helping me realize a dream and a body I had been striving for my whole life. Her support was outstanding.

Kerry Marshall is knowledgeable and passionate about helping her clients realize their full potential. Kerry goes above and beyond if you are willing to put the work in. She was really on point knowing when to push and when to ease off.

I can’t thank Kerry enough for what she did for me and my body in such a short-time. I had no idea I would ever see a six-pack. There was a time I weighed 235lbs and I had the skin to prove it. I was always told I wasn’t a petite person and I would always be a “thick” girl. Kerry didn’t even bat an eye when I showed her a pictures of what I wanted to look like. She enthusiastically wanted to know when we could get started on achieving my goal and within 16 weeks BAM!!! There it was.

Accomplishing goals can do so much more than having a great body, although the body was so worth it. Thanks Kerry for helping me get to a whole new level of living. Success breeds success...what else can I do?

Since High School I have dreamed of bodybuilding competitively but was never able to devote myself enough to do it. I knew the World Police and Fire Games were coming to BC in August 2009 and considered the possibility of competing in them. It would be perfect…..a 40th Birthday present to myself. Before I knew it, it was January 1st 2009 and I was heavier and more out of shape than I had ever been. My boyfriend was convinced that I could do it and encouraged me to give it a try.

I began a training and diet regimen but by February I knew that I was going to need some help if I hoped to reach my goal. A friend had told me about Kerry so I booked an appointment. I liked Kerry the moment I met her. She just has that kind of personality. She told me that the body can transform in amazing ways and she, also, felt I should give it a shot.

It is now 6 months later and this past weekend I won Gold in my division of the bodybuilding competition at the World Police and Fire Games. The experience has been an amazing one. I NEVER thought my body would transform the way it has and in such a short time. Kerry absolutely amazed me. How a person can possibly know to change a serving of sweet potato from 3oz to 4oz to break through a weight-loss plateau and begin to drop again I just cannot comprehend. She kept me on track through melt downs, birthday parties, etc, and was always so helpful, encouraging and just absolutely brilliant! She is a nutrition goddess and an exercise guru. Kerry has known what exercises to make…..I mean “have” me do (Ha! Ha! That one’s for you Kerry) and the right combinations. As the competition day approached I had A LOT of questions and she was always there with the answers. She spent endless hours responding to my texts, tolerating my mood swings and encouraging me whenever I would get discouraged. We covered it all and I went into this competition confident that I knew what I was doing. She would tell me to trust her and I did…….and boy am I glad!

I have already referred one friend to Kerry and will continue to refer as many as I can. I cannot begin to say enough good things about her (she would have to give me about 10 pages)! Anyone who wants to look and feel their best, inside and out, should definitely see Kerry. She’ll deliver, I guarantee it! I truly believe that I would not have accomplished what I have today if it was not for her. My DREAM accomplished and then some. I have hired Kerry, yet again, to bring me through another local competition in November. Why not….Kerry said I can do it!!

After going to the gym for years I grew bored of the same thing over and over and having the same body. I wanted to push and challenge my body and mind doing something I really loved. That’s when a friend of mind mentioned Kerry and figure competing. I never thought in my whole life I would do something like that but I did it anyway.

It was so easy and comfortable the first time I met her. I didn’t know what to expect but Kerry just told me to trust her. Even though everything was tough physically and mentally I eventually reached my goal by trusting her experience. She opened the door to a passion I never thought I would have and I am so excited to work with her again.

As a personal trainer Kerry Marshall is worth her weight in gold. She knows her stuff, she is personable and professional and has a genuine concern for her clients and their well being. She is an amazing lady! Her determination and focus is infectious. I was so happy to of met Kerry when I did( thank you to Su-yin for taking me along to that first meeting!) I had competed in Fitness competitions years ago and did very well but really wanted to take time off and focus on having kids and settling in with my husband. As time passed I lost focus of being healthy and lost my whole fitness routine totally! Boy how things change, how time flies.

I started feeling like I had never even stepped foot in a gym. Where did it all go? Thank goodness I met Kerry when I did. As our sessions started, I started to feel like the old me again, only better!! This is what I mean by Kerry is so invaluable as a personal trainer. When I finally competed in my first figure competition after all these years, I felt more than ready, I felt like I was ahead of the game. With Kerry's knowledge and guidance the possibilities are endless. I can't wait to see how my physique develops and morphs after continuing to train with her in the future.

When I first started the sessions with you I was skeptical as to whether or not I would finish them. Once, in the past, I paid for 6 sessions and never finished. Guess the personal trainer at that time couldn't keep my interest. But you did and I thank you for that. I found the sessions to be educational and physically demanding.

Never knew my body could lift that much weight or endure such pain! lol With what I know now and how much I can push myself makes me want to continue. Its not going to be easy getting up and going to the gym, but in the back of my mind I will most likely hear your voice of encouragement pushing me out the door. Thank you!!!

I started my journey with Kerry Marshall on Jan 1, 2008. One of my good friends who had competed in a few bodybuilding competitions decided to get back into it again and knew that I had always been interested in that field. I had reached a point in my life where I had gained so much weight that I felt so depressed and ugly. I wanted to get control of my life again and get back my health.

I have always been fit and ate pretty healthy. Through years of bad relationships and lots of heart break food had filled a void. I never really ate bad - just more than I should.

I am finally in a fantastic, supportive relationship and I reached a goal I never dreamt I would be able to reach.

With Kerry's knowledge and my fiances support I came in 4th in figure at the 2008 Fort St. John's Northern Classic Competition.

I am so excited and can't wait to see where this will take me. This is just the beginning and with Kerry's help I hope to reach my next goal.

Well it all started around Christmas last year, when a friend and co-worker told me that she was going to meet with a personal trainer and talk to her about entering a figure competition. Once we got to talking I had decided to go with her and check out the possibilities about doing it myself. I had always been very interested in doing something like this but never followed through with anything seriously.

The night we had gone to meet Kerry, I didn’t really know what to expect. But once we met and started the consultation I immediately felt comfortable and started to relax. And of course by the time we were done and we were on our way home I knew in my heart that my life would never be the same, because this time would be the time that I would really do it, and I did. Emotionally I didn’t think I was ready, and the excuses were already starting in my head, what about the kids, I don’t have time, how am I going to fit it all in, blah, blah, blah!!! But physically I knew I was more than ready! It was now or never, so I jumped in with both feet and took a chance.

After all the only thing I had to lose, was fat! Hiring Kerry as my personal trainer was the best thing I could have done for myself. Right away she set me up on a program specifically designed for me, to reach my goals. In the beginning it felt like it would never happen, but as my physique started to change my motivation became stronger and stronger. Through my entire journey I always had Kerry guiding me, tweaking my diet and training, cheering me on, and of course a little bit of butt kicking along the way, to get me to where I needed to go. I have truly enjoyed the experience of my first show, and I have Kerry to thank for that. I am not stopping here. I plan to compete in my 2nd show next April, with the help of Kerry (of course)!!!! If I have helped to inspire anyone its makes my journey even more rewarding, because if I can do it, really, ANYONE can!!!!!

I hired Kerry as a personal trainer at a time when I needed a change in my life. I bought her pre-contest training package. Going into this I knew nothing of competing. I had never been to a show and didn’t really know what I was getting into. I just wanted a program that I would stick to with a goal at the end. Plus knowing that I had to get on stage at the end of the journey made the program easier to follow.

Hiring Kerry was the best thing I could have done for me. She not only showed me how to train, she put me on a diet specifically for my body. Having to send in weekly pictures and updates made me stick to the plan. Kerry would then make changes according to my progress.

Kerry has a very motivating personality; one that you do not want to let down. Not only did Kerry sculpt my body she gave me confidence and knowledge that actually placed me third in my first competition. Kerry let me know everything I had to do for the show taking the stress away from me. All the hours practicing my poses and going over the tan, makeup, and what to expect at the show totally made the difference. I appreciate everything Kerry did for me. She made my first figure competition an enjoyable experience! Kerry is full of knowledge and I would recommend her for a personal trainer if you want results.

Thank you Kerry for everything!

I would first like to start out by saying Kerry is very professional and very capable of getting you to your goals of fitness and weight. She will give you a program and diet to attain what you want, all you have to do is follow the program and you will start to see the difference. She will also keep on track with you so as your body changes your program will as well. I found Kerry to be very pleasant and funny to be around, great lady all around, if you're looking for a personal trainer Kerry's your lady.

It's not difficult to want to give a stirring testimonial, it's just difficult to know where to start. Kerry has been my personal trainer dream for almost a year now. She has been with me through many ups and downs as I try to rehab a severe low back disc herniation (from a yoga class!...hate the stretching!!). I know I have probably been the client that has made the least progress, but it's not for lack of trying, or being encouraged. Kerry has never let me give up, at the same time as giving me lots of time to recover from each new re-injury "episode". Her encouragement has been indispensable as the chronic pain and diminished lifestyle have been extremely depressing at times. My work-outs have been re-designed as needed to find the perfect combination of healing and progress. I refuse to give up and it looks like Kerry isn't giving up on me either. I wouldn't blame her if she cut me loose, but she never does. I look forward to busting through the barriers I'm presently battling & with Kerry's help to finally achieve the good health and fitness that I want and need!

I JUST WANTED TO SEND YOU A QUICK NOTE TO LET YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I APPRECIATED YOUR RESEARCH INTO ROWING FITNESS. I ALSO THOUGHT THE EXCERCISE PROGRAM THAT YOU SET UP FOR ME WAS REALLY TERRIFIC.

PS OUR ROWING TEAM GOT SECOND PLACE.

I had gained weight, my blood pressure was sky high and I was diagnosed as being border-line diabetic and on top of it all I was turning 40! So, what to do? For Valentines Day my husband and I bought each other memberships to World Gym. It’s 2 buildings over from our office in PoCo so it’s very close and handy! But I was still skeptical on going as I’ve never been fond of working out! Ick. I’ve tried Weight Watchers over the years, and have been successful up to a point. I lose weight, than I fall off the wagon and quit going to my weigh-ins and then 6 months later I’m back to where I began and heavier than I was when I started.

I did however, want a Personal Trainer (PT). My husband was very supportive of this and agreed to it – me, I’ve always felt guilty about spending such a large amount of money on myself. I guess getting older you start getting smarter and realize that it’s not always about the kids or the husband, there has to be something there for yourself.

So, I met my PT, Kerry. She has been wonderful to work with these past 6 months. She can be quite the bag, (I’ve called her worse to her face, but we won’t go there today) she works me hard and I remember her on my days off from the gym – and sometimes the thoughts aren’t very friendly as I move about my day in pain and agony. But she’s taught me some very healthy eating habits, what to put in my body and what not to put in my body. Some days I just enjoy eating my smarties (ha! ha! didn’t know that did ya Kerry?) But if my weight hasn’t gone down on my Monday morning weigh-ins then I have some explaining to do. And she expects that weight to go down each AND every week! Did I mention that she’s really mean?!

The weight has definitely been coming off – somewhere’s around 20+ pounds and by body is changing shape – I’m developing muscles that I didn’t even know existed – it’s great. No, I’m not going to become a body builder and start competing – I’ll leave that to the experts like Kerry! I just want to be healthy and fit!

Kerry is not only professional, she is personable. She is my motivation to get to the gym! I actually enjoy going to my workouts which I haven't in the past. She has an incredible knowledge and passion for fitness and it shows. My training sessions with her are fun and I can only credit my improved strength and fitness level to her - you get results with Kerry. She is an excellent ambassador, educator and role model in the fitness industry. She is my only choice for a personal trainer!

“I have been training with Kerry MacDonald since June of 2004, my strength and endurance have gone beyond my expectations, I have lost inches and gained muscle. Kerry offers variety, motivation and a great sense of humor. I have enjoyed my workouts with her and look forward to a long trainer, trainee relationship. Fitness has to be a life goal, Kerry has made it her priority and has helped show me how to make it my priority. Kerry’s whole body approach ensures you are not just training muscles, but working on the whole package”

I have had Kerry as a personal trainer for 3 months now and have found her to be as competent as she is knowledgeable in structuring my workouts. I’ve seen excellent results in both the level of fitness and increase in weights I have been able to lift during this short time. I would highly recommend her services to anyone wanting to either to start a workout routine or improve the one they are currently on.

I have a ton of good things to say. First of all Kerry is very motivating and really loves what she does. Kerry takes the time to make a training routine that is appropriate for her client's needs and she goes that extra mile to get to know her clients. She takes the time to find out what her client's specific goals are and works with those goals in mind. She takes the time to find out how the workouts are feeling and if any adjustments or changes need to be made. She is friendly and I always look forward to our sessions. Kerry is really on top of things, super organized and very punctual. I have no doubt in my mind that I will sign up for more sessions once this package is complete. She is fantastic, and the sessions have really helped my lifestyle. Each and every session is fun and challenging, and never boring.

I have been training with Kerry since July and I have gained 8 pounds of lean muscle. Kerry is helping me achieve my fitness goals and I would not hesitate to refer her to my closest family and friends. In fact my sister has just started training with Kerry and she is already impressed by Kerry's fitness knowledge, professionalism and motivating attitude. Keep up the good work Kerry!

Kerry is a great personal trainer. She has created a program that has matched my needs perfectly and there is a lot of room for flexibility. She has an excellent interpersonal style. She is a great motivator and can gauge how hard to push her clients - which in my case is hard and I love it. It is the heaviest I have lifted so far. I look forward to improving my fitness with Kerry's help and encouragement.

I am very pleased with the personal training I have received from Kerry. I have been pointed in the right direction to obtain the right requirements to achieve the goals I have in mind for my body. I find the Kerry very helpful, easy to get along with and she provides the push I need when required to meet my goals.

I would definitely put in a positive word to anyone to obtain personal training from Kerry.

"Although I have only worked with Kerry a short time, I find her a good motivator, sensitive to my needs and aspirations, yet able to push me in the right direction. I have confidence that she will help me succeed.”

I have been working with Kerry for a few months now and I highly recommend her to anyone requiring personal training services. I can think of no one better to work with me to achieve my personal weight loss/strength training goals. I had been out of touch with the gym and working out as I was busy having babies. To return to a gym full of hard bodies, seemed daunting and embarrassing for me. Although I wasn’t obese, I certainly had weight to loose and needed to get in shape and feel better. I was introduced to Kerry and immediately, I felt we connected. She is very understanding, supportive and gives the right amount of pushing to help you accomplish your goals. She knows when to push and when to let you steer while always keeping your goals in the forefront. I can talk to Kerry about anything at any time. She is open, flexible and I love her wit and humour. It is more like going to hang out with a friend than it is to be with my trainer. I am so happy to have met her and that she is working with me. I have had great success to date and I plan on keeping her for a long time. Not because I can’t do it on my own now (I can) but because I know she will continue to be a support through the various goals I strive for. She is excellent for anyone just starting out or for those who are veterans. I am impressed by her ability to focus on current goals while also thinking about next steps and programs. I owe my weight loss, increased flexibility and strength and general well-being to Kerry. I have more energy and I am much happier. Thanks Kerry!!!

I would definitely recommend Kerry to anyone wanting results. I have worked with Kerry for about a year now and she is the main reason I have achieved the results I have. Kerry alters my program on a regular basis to keep the workouts new, interesting and challenging. Kerry provides me with not only the push and drive to keep going and achieve results but she is also able to recognize when I am frustrated and provides me with support and encouragement. Kerry get to know you, what you want and determines the best way to help you get there. I have noticed significant changes in my body and owe that to Kerry. I consider myself very fortunate to work with Kerry! She truly enjoys what she does and makes going to the gym fun!!

I couldn't have been happier with a personal trainer than I was with Kerry, she gave me all the instruction (and the odd kick in the backside) I needed with the equipment and workout routines to get me started. I would recommend her to all. My time with her was FIRST CLASS and more than I expected.

I requested Kerry services as I was going through my personal training courses. I had heard that a lot of personal trainers, have there own trainer and that It would be a good idea to hire a trainer while I was going through my courses. When I e-mailed Kerry with my goals and what I wanted to achieve from a program, she set me up with a program suited to what I was looking to accomplish. Not only did my own training improve, I was able to use the weight-training exercises, that she showed me on my personal training exams.

Today I am a registered personal trainer and I still use some of the exercises that she taught me in my own program and I also teach those same exercises to my own clients.

Being fit has been a goal of mine for many years but with a busy life (kids and career) there has been many stops and starts. Kerry helped me keep focused and after a year of training with her I have not only exceeded my goals but have made staying fit a lasting and enjoyable part of my lifestyle.
